COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented shock to the global economy and has increased risk and uncertainty for many Irish businesses. International Women’s Day

International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first March 8 IWD gathering supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Dublin Chamber’s International Women’s Day celebration brings over 200 of Ireland’s most successful business leaders and female entrepreneurs together. The guest speaker and invited panel discuss their careers, challenges they have overcome and offer advice to other female leaders. The theme for 2021 is #ChooseToChallenge.

Diversity and Inclusion

Dublin Chamber's vision for Dublin is of a modern capital city that is diverse, vibrant, inclusive, compassionate and caring. A city that is globally renowned for its economic vitality and quality of life. We believe that quality of life includes ensuring people feel accepted, empowered, valued and supported in the community in which they live and work. Employment legislation protects people from discrimination but we know true diversity and inclusion is much more than that. Similarly, we are keen to understand any business issue that arises or that act as a barrier to aspects of inclusion. Dublin Chamber will continue to work to ensure that any such issues are resolved.
To understand the challenges facing businesses and to examine how we can support them Dublin Chamber will run a series of Diversity & Inclusion events to support and inspire Dublin Chamber members.

Sustainable Dublin 2050

Dublin Chamber believes a more sustainable future can be achieved, but only through a holistic approach. Sustainable mobility, flexible working practices, a focus on renewable energy, circular economy adoption by business, and urban density are all key to a sustainable reset. To understand the challenges climate change presents and to examine how we can achieve a more sustainable future Dublin Chamber will run a series events for senior decision makers from Dublin Chamber’s membership. The aim of the series is to update and inform Dublin Chamber members on the legislative and political context of climate action and the benefits and opportunities that a move toward a low carbon and more circular economy can present to business.
